Our tractor club has a ride coming up and I'd like to bring my wife along. Has anyone put an extra seat on their tractor for a passenger? I can't seem to find anything on the Internet that I could use for my C. Does anybody have any ideas or pictures they could post? Thank you!!!

THe C is a little tougher than an offset to install a second seat. It is possible to do it, but the framework needs to be attached to the axles and be strong enough to support at least 3 times the expected load. The hexagon axle housing makes this even more challenging.
A safe and secure method to consider is a small utility trailer. It would be useful for many other purposes as well. Jim

Our tractor club has a hayride wagon that we take on tractor rides. That way wives/kids/friends who dont have/drive can participate. We have 5-10 people who ride the wagon. One member has a disabled wife, she can be included. Also if a tractor has a problem/out of gas(it happens),the driver is not stranded.

There was one at the tractor parade last year that built a porch on the back using the fast hitch. It had chairs to sit in. It was really kind of neat. He would lower it to get on, then raise it up so they could see.

wider steel plate mounted to the top of the seat box,
brace to axle or hitch or just triangle braces down to the seat box base sides.
then mount 2 normal C seat assemblies to it.
(replacing the pans with old lawn tractor seat pans
which are smaller diameter would help fit)

or, snag the angle iron seat frame, bench seat and back rest off
a Allis Chalmers B, and mount it on the C seat box.
with down bracing on the ends

Rick- got a photo of this? Sounds like a great idea.

Ever ride in one of those rear seat types sitting that far behind the axle isnt fun on a long ride. Small parade ride would be fine as long as you go slow.

Yep. It's like being on the business end of a catapult. Every bump you go over it feels like you're going to get launched over the castle wall!

This is my grand daughter hauler.
