generator on an H: what dimensions?

I have an H with the distributor/generator ignition. I did not notice when I bought the tractor that the right side of the hood won't latch because the generator protrudes. I think it is not the original generator and it is too large. Could anyone with a similar H send me the diameter of the generator, and the space between mounting flanges?
(Mine is 4 15/16" dia and 5" between flanges.)

Is it a generator? Or did a previous owner install a 12 volt alternator? Very few 12 alternators will fit under the hood of an H.

Nope. It is definitely a generator. I do have alternators on a number of older tractors.

About 4.5 diameter and 7 inches outside to outside of the lower mounting holes. Probably would still clear with a belt short enough to mount it close to the head. May have a different pulley on it also.

Sorry. Whatever number the generator has, it is not evident in about 300 degrees.
