IH 300U Remote Valve

To add a set of remote couplers on my 300U, can I just add another control valve in front of the Fast Hitch valve. There is a place on the reservoir and I have a spare Fast Hitch valve from a donner tractor. It would be useful in moving machinery around the shed and stuff. Thanks in advance....Ron

The valves stack together, so what you propose should work just fine.

Is it better to stack them or move it towards the front of the tractor on the reservoir or same thing? Thanks....Ron

To answer your original question, yes you can add another control valve in front of the existing valve. I did the same on a 300U and you are right it is very useful to have a set of couplers on the tractor. My tractor had some plugs in the machined surface on the side of the reservoir and I added a donor valve and routed the hoses to the back. Mainly used to rake hay with and works great.

By fast hitch valve do you mean same as the valve already on the tractor. If it would be from a tractor with teledepth fast hitch the valve will not work. It is easy to tell by place for a lever on both sides of teledepth valve.
