Hey old F-20

Do you have a flywheel and key I could buy? And no mine didn't blow up, but it's not balanced right and it makes a noise when its running. So I figured if I took it off I should replace the flywheel.

Where is the noise? your road gear? or Engine?
Could be bad crank bearings if it has a growl.

I will have to go out and see what I have. not sure if I have a 'plain' flywheel. ive got about 4 with ringgears for starters

It's not a growl. It has a rhythm. I think the key I forced in pushed more of the flywheel to one side and also the flywheel isn't flush with the clutch. It's hard to explain, but I'm certain that the noise is the flywheel not being balanced correctly. I can feel it when I use the clutch.

Let me know if you find one. If not I'll put a ring gear one on. Were the keys on the early F-20's tapered and the later F-20s not tapered? And were there different size keys too? I wonder if that was the problem I ran into.
