Farmall M Transmission Bearings

Guys,

I am restoring my Farmall M. I have purchased some of my bearings from the Local Case I/H Dealer and they are high. Any advice on an online store or a company to call to get some prices on bearings?

Motion Industries- Kaman Incorporated are two national suppliers of high integrity. The internet. (just put in the part number/s) do not go with bearings of OFF brand or questionable origin. Some good brands are: NSK, Timken, Bower, NTN, SKF. Jim

I get a lot of bearings at NAPA. Have found over the last couple years that bearings are just expensive, the hard steel I guess.

I found that when replacing bearings in my H that the original IH bearings have more balls than aftermarket ( or even current CIH ) offerings. Typically the more balls in a bearing the more load it can handle.

If you are not going to work the tractor, almost any bearing will do. If you are counting on it to get something done, the quality of the bearings might be an issue.
