HI I have a fuel flow question on my m farmall. I can"t get gas to the plugs (it is a gas engine). I have cleaned the carb. When I try to start it gas seems to run back and drain out the bottom of the carb, but it is really dirty. I then checked the tube that feeds gas into the engine and it was plugged with dirt. I then cleaned the tube and It still won"t deliver gas into the engine. I know gas is getting this far, what is my next step? Thanks Scott

Did you remove the small screen from the fuel inlet on the carburetor and clean it as well? that may be where your problem is.

And along the same lines maybe you should dismantle the air cleaner and look for obstructions there as well. Will it run with the air inlet pipe removed?

I have removed the screen and have dismantled the air cleaner. gas seems to get all the way to the tube that feeds gas to the engine. I really don't want to dig into the engine unless I have to. I think I might try to take the tube off that goes into the engine and spray carb cleaner into that and see if that works, or do you think that's a bad idea??

The tube into the tank from the sediment bowl needs to be clean. The sediment bowl screen and bowl need to be clean. The fuel line that goes to the carb must be clean. The fitting at the carb has a screen that must be clean. The port above the needle and seat in the carb must be clean. The needle must open and close correctly in the float bowl to admit and limit the depth of fuel. Good luck. Jim
