bosch injectin pump

I have a hydro 84 with a bosch model
VA4110H CR 85-1 pump. I removed the pump to replace the seal and found what I believe is excessive side to side play on the shaft. What is acceptable side play on this pump and what would need to done to address the play?

Should be very little play, compare up/down to side to side, if not about the same shaft and/or bushings may need replaced. Bosch has unfinished ID bushings and tools to ream to size for both 17 and 20 MM shaft size pumps.

Thanks for the reply. Replacing the bushing looks like a complete tear down. I may be in the market for a used replacement.

How does the tractor start when hot? If it just needs the bushings and resealed I probably could repair it faster than finding another good used one. Very few parts are available for Bosch VA pumps since VE model is popular now.
