I'm working on a F-20 and I need to find the piece of pipe that screws into the manifold. Then I can put a muffler or elbow on it. Is there a local store that may sell threaded pipe like this?
By the way, the threads on the manifold aren't the prettiest in the world...

I would expect the threads to be standard NPT, national pipe taper. Especially given the age of the part. NPT thread was very common for any sort of "plumbing."

You would be able to pick up a piece of threaded "black iron pipe" at pretty much any hardware store that does any sort of plumbing. Home Depot and Lowes carry up to 2".

How wide across is the hole? That will help determine the size of the pipe.

You should be able to find that pipe in any good plumping or hardware store. They can cut you any lengh and thread for you.

I have a 2" pipe tap and have used it to chase the threads in several manifolds, it works best with the manifolt bolted to the tractor as a LOT of torque is needed to turn the tap. I used a 24" wrench with a piece of pipe stuck over handle to get enough leverage.
