Fast hitch catagories

What are the different fast hitch categories? Is the one with the traction control on it classified as 1 or 3?

The traction controll has nothing to do with "categorys".That is determined by the prong size.The small Super C one is a #1.The bigger(300thru 560/806) one is a#2.There only 2 sizes of Fast hitch.

I've never heard of the fast hitches to be referred to in categories like the 3ph.

Farmall's SA,100,130,140 could have 1 small point fast hitches.

Super C's 200,230, could have 2 small point fast hitches.

300,350,400,450,560 + several more had 2 large point fast hitches.

I agree.All I everheard refered to was 'large' prong,or small....

The fast hitch is approximately the same width as the 3 point category 1 but uses category 2 size pins. I bought a category 1 one piece quick hitch to use for 3pt implements. (I had to weld brackets on the quick hitch with the holes approximately 5" on center from the original holes). I later found an IHC fast hitch to 3pt conversion and that will adjust to different 3pt widths. The 3 piece "quick hitches" come in either size, the category 1 are the straight type and the category 2 are the offset type.

Slight correction...

The prong on the Cub/100/130/140 Fast Hitch is a LARGE prong, same as the Category 2 prongs on the larger tractors.
