Super H transmission oil level

On a Super H do you check the level of the transmission oil by
taking the square headed plug out on the left hand of the
tractor. Should the oil be level with this hole. If I ma not correct
on this let me know where to check the oil and what weight
should be used. Thanks

The plug is where you say. Add oil until it starts to run out of the hole. Weight can be 90, 80W90, or 80W140. I use 80W140.

SHs are great little tractors.Durable and simple.I know you love it.Not to be an a..hole,but since you seem so clueless on your tractor,do your self a big favor and order an owners manual from these guys right here at YT.There is a square recess pipe plug on top of the deck to the right of the gearshift. That is where you add/fill.

Not sure exactly what you refer to, but I bought my 1950 "H" from an old IHC mechanic, and he showed me the grease fitting for the clutch, under the tractor, and told me "Give "er one shot of grease the day after Christmas."
I have over-did it, and had a slipping clutch for a while....

Underneath there is a hole in the bottom of the casting. In that hole is where you grease the pilot bearing. Turn the flywheel till it lines up then you can grease it. Don't bump the starter with your finger in there to find it, have some one turn the fan or pry it with a bar through the starter hole.
The plug in front of the clutch pedal on the left side is your oil level. If it doesn't have the TA you can use 80-90 gear oil. Or if changing completely you can put Hytran in there. Probably will give some leaks on old seals from time and wear though.
