dual clutch question

I have an IH 354 with a dual clutch. Should be same as 444. There was a post on how to adjust this clutch thru the access hole in the bottom of the tractor. Can anyone re-locate this post or tell me how to do this from the access hole?

I tried a search but came up empty. My clutch is not working for the PTO. The PTO is either on all the time or off. Clutching all the way down has no effect on the PTO at all. Thanks js

Hi JS,
Hopefully your PTO clutch is not seized to the
pressure plate. First do clutch foot pedal
adjustment.

There is an adjusting screws on each clutch
finger. As I posted before on our 434 the
adjusting nuts on these screws ware a grove in the
pressure plate fingers and this caused the type of
PTO problems you are experiencing. By loosening
the adjusting nuts and turning them a 1/4 turn so
they would not rest in the old worn groove fixed
our 434 PTO problems.

A couple of yrs. ago I too purchased a 354. It had
been sitting for several yrs. It too had the clutch
stuck. with someone holding the petal down I struck
the disk with a prybar and hammer several times
through the inspection hole in the bottom and it
broke loose and works fine. good luck.

I don't know why it did that! I just wanted to say thanks for the replies. I'll try the pry bar and hammer method.
