Is this a C-24-P mower?

Is this a C-24-P mower? I was able to take some pictures of it mounted on my 300, the only problem is I blew up the inner shoe. For some not so nice reason, the shoe started breaking thus causing the bar to lift less and less. So now I am in the process of replacing the shoe. These were taken before I took the outer housing and shoe off the mower.

I have a UF-28 mounted on my Super C. It looks a lot like this one as far as I can tell. For what it is worth, Binder Books has owners manuals for them. The manual says mine is for the Utility 300 only. I had to make some brackets to make it fit my C. I would go post this on the implement forum, the guys over there are really good with implements.

I think it is a 28 notice the pics. the 28 is made for the newer Traction control hitch on 230 and 240 tractors. using a lift chain attached to the bottom of the fast hitch cylinder. the 21 and 24 mowers used a lift rod attached to the touch control arm to raise and lower the bar. fairly sure this mower is a 28

Depending on what tractor the mower was to be used with determined the lift linkages used,so you can expect to see different parts,like this picture shows. The #28 is different in a couple respects,however I have seen them "Made to work" on other Fast Hitch equipped tractors,with various degrees of success-

I have to disagree. You"ll see on the RH hitch prong there"s a welded tube,that was used to pin the mower bar "Lead" adjuster unit when used with the Super C and 200 Fast Hitch.That was the rod and bracket that attached to the RH axle housing,used with the rear cultivator rear axle mounting clamp. To my knowledge the #28 did not have that,since the 300 Utility had no need for that setup,it used a bracket bolted to the RH axle housing with a chain and clevis arrangement. I"ll have to go through my old IH manuals and get out my mower attaching instructions to adapt the C-21 P,C-24-P Fast Hitch mowers to adapt to both the 300/400 Fast Hitch,and the later "Traction Control" Fast Hitch,as used with the 230/350/450 tractors. I"m not sure I can scan that,if I can I"ll try to post on here so one can see just what is involved.

That would be great if you can find that information. I do have to install plates in my hitch to take up space so the prongs fit tightly if that helps any.
