574 hydraulic leak

My 574 leaks hydraulic fluid when hot. I crawl under it and cannot find a fitting leaking or anything dripping, but the underside of the tractor is oil covered. After the tractor cools down the leaking seems to stop. There is no puddle of oil after it sits for a week or two.

Is there a breather that could be plugged? It is not overflowing at the dip stick hole. I simply cannot find a leak.

Any ideas?

Yes there is a breather!!

Remove seat and access panel in base of cab or if non cab in seat deck.

You will see breather in a flat plate under this access panel.

Hi Bill,
Is it leaking by the clutch inspection plate on the bottom of the torque tube?
If so could be a seal on the PTO, transmission input shaft.
Most common leaking problem is PS pump and PB cylinders and lines.

Bill, top of the case, under the top cover between the dash & the seat I found two spots mine was leaking. These were round holes that had a rod through them. You'll need to power wash this place to find them, run the tractor around for a few days without this sheet metal cover on, you should be able to see these places weeping oil. I cleaned mine up, and put a good blob of epoxy on the top of each rod, no more leak, three years now.
