Never did this before...

Planted corn in July ! Luckily its really only a food plot more or less. Its been a cold wet spring here in Minnesota and I couldnt get in there due to mud. Haying has been tough also. We are hoping for a late frost around here ! Weather has improved this week.

I always try to plant a couple of rows of sweet corn July 1st to 4th here in s.w.Pa. It is usually the best corn of the season. cold nights turn the starch to sugar. Now and then it'll get frosted - about one year in ten.

Mud--what's that? The weeds are dying in SW Kansas (not an exaggeration) not to mention the dryland crops.

I planted 90 day, it might make it.... Last year had a hard frost in mid september if I am remembering right. I feel for you guys with the drought problems, guess I would rather have it too wet given the choice !
