Yesterday I posted this on the sister discussion board - Implement Alley. Eye sea eye got peaks butt, know replies... sew, y knot post it hear??!!

Gots me an IH 2001 manual trip, manure bucket only unit that was carried by a Farmall 340 so I bought it sight unseen except for a picture of it on same several years ago. Well the rear mount isn't original [flat stock w/lots of holes drilled] and I'm tinkin' a hydraulic bucket would be useful at times anyway. Never have had it mounted. Now, with a Farmall and International 460, I gots ta tinkin' bout a loader again. No inside room for storage but hey, why should I let that stop me Very Happy

Rich_WI, are you happy with yours on your F460? [from an archive search, saw your Nov. 2, 2009 post] when you were commenting to DanTo.

Last week I happened upon a 2001 that rode on a 504 U; single cylinder, manure bucket only w/front mounting brackets, all tines and a not butchered rear mount w/brackets. Unit is straight w/o breaks, cracks or welds and intact-readable decals [it makes it operate soooo much better]. Gosh, now I can't remember if it had a tine cover or not. Asking $ is 1250; I haven't made an offer.

What say you folks. Anyone have original 'parking legs'? What a find that would be. Thanks in advance.

Hi Al, You and I should belong to the same procrastinators club. I still haven't mounted my 2001 loader either. I paid a 1000 bucks for it quite some time ago. Weldon K made a fine response on fitting this loader to a 340 farmall plus additional info from the manual. You need to do a search for that info and pay particular attention to the rear mounting part. The loader you have now may just be the one you need. Looks like the front mounts could also be fabricated quite easily.

Hey Al, I still got my Farmall 460 with loader. I think mine is a model 2000, the one with a center mounted cylinder. The center cylinder was replaced at some point with a different one and it does not work with the bucket (it binds up and wants to bend the rod) so I just keep the hay forks on it. At some point I will tackle that problem but havent had time yet.

Its a good tractor and loader, Im very happy with it but really, the tractor and loader live an easy life. I dont know if you seen my post about a year ago but somebody was looking for info on the loader mounts. I took a bunch of pictures of them, they might be helpful if you buy the loader.

If you buy the loader, let me know, I would love to get some measurments of the center mount cylinder so I can get mine fixed up.

Rich, My 2001 loader is a single tilt cylinder. I would be glad to take some pictures this weekend of mine to give you an idea of what they look like. I never learned how to post pictures on here but if you enable your email address I can handle that with my Iphone.

Weldon K responded to the same post on 'Implement Alley". His insight saved me from making a costly and what would have also been an incorrect purchase. I'll have to keep looking. Kickin' myself in the hinder now as, last fall I could have purchased a Farmall 460 w/loader ~ and hour away, for $1800; sold the tractor out from under it and been a happier camper...oh well, hindsight is 20-20. Time for a Vanilla Coca~Cola!
