Q ON H CRANK AND M HEAD

I have what I was told is a M head with casting # 8060 DB. Is it a gas head or a low compression distillate? Also I have a 1950 H and I need a crank shaft and I was wondering if all the years from 1939 on up will fit? thanks in advance.

8060 is a gasoline head. real late h's had a tad bit larger crank journals but they interchange in the blocks you just need to get the right bearings.
