We are looking to find the value of our Farmall H.
It is currently not running but possible electrical
issue. Was running and just shut off. Serial #
FBH349321X1. Located in Mobile, AL if anyone is
interested.

FBH is the model code for Farmall H
349321 is the serial number
Tractor serial number 348074 built Nov 1 1950
Tractor serial number 349532 built Dec 1 1950
X1 is the suffix code for gasoline engine
higher compression than a distillate equipped tractor,
but not the highest available.
By averaging production numbers that would place this one built around the 27th or 28th of November 1950.
Since the next years production started on November 1st of each year this would be designated as an early 1951 Model H.

Resale value is based on the area of the country it is located in, and condition, providing a three quarter view photo front & rear will help determine re-sale value. Many factors figure in to help determine value, but IH built almost 400,000 of these from 1939 thru 1954, they are plentiful and usually run from $450 for a "parts tractor" up to $3000 and higher for a professionally restored one.

All the serial numbers I have seen including Guy Fay, Berumda Ken, this site, etc use the calendar year for the year of production. Fiscal year apparently does not have an effect. Been that way a long time. My dad bought a new H in early 1948, built in Dec 1947, it was sold as a 1947.

Value varies by area and how bad someone is lloking to buy that type or tractor.I live in Indiana and a H with good tires and paint sells around $1700.

The other "value" mught be sentimental, if it was Grandpa"s. My 1950 "H" I bought to beat this old farm into shape many years ago has great value to my boys, who love to drive it.

You say nothing about the condition of the tractor, just that it doesn't run.

With only that information, we can only assume the worst, and the tractor is parts or scrap. The value is around $400.

"Possible electrical issue?" There's barely any electrical on the tractor, so the problem can't be that bad. Fix it and get it running, and it will be worth 2-3 times as much. Heck, assuming that it has a battery ignition, all you really need is a wire from the post on the battery that goes to the starter switch, to the ignition coil. Nothing else needs power.

I wouldn't spend more than $500 on it as it is non running. I would go up if it had good rears or was not used up (like most are)

It would be $500 to $1500 depending on where you live. They are a very common tractor.

I have my dad's, so it is priceless to me. I will have $3K in it by the time everything is fixed, painted and new tires.
