340 Utility

Looking at a 340 gas tractor for snowplowing, mowing and other light use. Tractor has hydro steering and a 3 point. Is there anything I need to look out for by way of potential problems?
Thanks ahead of time.

I love my 340 utility. Keep the hydraulic oil level up and the filters changed. Keep clutch and TA properly adjusted. Great cold-weather starter and little workhorse. Hopefully, it never had a loader up front. Mine did, much repair needed. Live pto helps for mowing as well, but keep in mind its only about 36 hp. Good luck.

I have a Ford 860 right now that I'm restoring, I'm thinking that this is comparable to the 340.
I'm kind liking that the IH has power steering, my snow plow is pretty heavy. Like I said earlier, I'm not gonna work a tractor to death by any standard, dig some postholes, move some snow, plow the garden and mowing duty (my backyard is about 2 acres).
My grandkids LOVE the tractors... And hayrides. From a safety standpoint, I think the 340 brakes are head and shoulders above the Ford, right?
