C and Super C Difference

Easiest visual clue is curved brake pedals on a Super C vs straight ones on a C. Super C has disc brakes & C has band style brakes.

Along with the curved clutch and brake pedals, the SC had a water pump on the left front of the motor. Motor is a 123ci on a SC and 113ci on a C. SC also had a temp. guage mounted on the Touch Control bracket, but this could easily be added to a C or removed from a SC.
Saw one at the Kansas Mennonite Central Committee auction a couple months ago with C decals, but going over it I could easily tell it was a 1951 SC.
 
The hood is a little higher on the Super C. When viewing the left side, you can see a good part of the exhaust makifold on a Super, whereas you cannot on a plain C.

The easiest telltale is to look under the gas tank.

If you can see daylight on the other side, it's a Super C. The tank sits about 2" higher on a Super.
 
The grill is about an inch and a half taller, look for gap from top of hand crank hole to bottom of slats C is even
 
Something not mentioned is the hydralic arms.The C has 4 arms(2 on each side).SC only has 3.If the tractor still has its sn plate,that will tell you.

If you know what each is supposed to looks like.. if not, the straight or curved pedal arms or water pump are easiest... anyone can tell straight from curved, or easily see the water pump.
 
not always true. I have a 1949 C that was bought new by a neighbor and it only had 3 lift arms when new. When I bought the tractor at his estate sale in 1976 I also got the original C-294 2x12 plow, 2 row cultivator, c-24 sickle mower and C221 planter and fertilize units. I still use all those things to farm with.
