I am at home right now and not at the farm. I am having trouble eith my Hydra- touch system. As I was harrowing with it the lifting of the harrow was slower and slower. Where do I check the fluid level? Is this oil all from the transmission? I guess I just have to check it first!

On the belly casting ahead of the clutch pedal will be a pipe plug that is the level. The hydraulic and rear end & transmission use the casting as a common reservoir. Hytran brand is IHC use it or equivalent. Would be good to change the filter also.

There is a 6-sided cover held on by 6 bolts on the right side of the torque tube. That is the hydraulic filter.

Slower and slower lifting as the day goes on is indicative of a hydraulic pump that is getting weak, IMHO.

There is no way for the hydraulic fluid to get so bad that it causes slow lifting, without ruining the pump. Even if it's that nasty, just changing it alone won't fix the problem.

I agree....The fact that that it lifts slower as it gets warm is indictitive of a worn hydralic pump.Changeing the 'H'filter wont help that...but it wont hurt.Time for a new pump.Steve
