IH-1000 loader issues

We just installed a Ih-1000 loader on my dads Super A. It works ok but the pump is getting hot hot you can"t touch it and you can smell it and it got hot enough to burn the grease and grim off.
the loader is hooked up the same as the one on my Farmall 100 but this one used to be on a farmall Cub. Could the bypass block have the wrong gasket on it do I need gaskets specific for the Farmall Super A? I am guessing dad may have used one of the farmall cub gaskets. Could this cause it to get hot?
Thanks
Chad

Chad not only do you need the correct gasket but you need the correct by-pass block. DO NOT Run it any more! I took the teeth right off the cam gear one time because of hydraulic blockage.

The IH bypass block that came with the loader is designed to work with both tractors, using different bolt holes and different ports.

You must have it somewhat right because the loader wouldn't work at all, and you'd have bigger problems.

At this point you better take it apart, see what's wrong, and fix it. What it "could be" is irrelevant, it will have to come apart to be fixed anyway, and you'll know when you get it apart.
