IH 350 value

I spotted a 350 w/wide front today, It has descent paint descent tin work. Descent tires. What would be a good figure to offer. Is there any issues that would sway me to night even consider the 350?

All international 350s have wide front, they are Utility style tractors. The value if the engine does not smoke when warm,Tin, hydraulics, power steering, TA, PTO, high gear, and tires are good would be in the 2600 to 3500 range.
If it is a Farmall 350, possibly 500 more in the condition described by me. If there are things wrong, (tires and engine being premium issues) less is certainly indicated. Jim

Many people mistakenly call a 'farmall' an International.Determine if Its a Farmall'. or an International.Utility or wheatland?Does it already have a "price",or you going for a 'cold' offer?

Semantics below...all of "em were made by International Harvester regardless of what the badging on the hood says; "International" on the Utility and Standard tread versions, and "Farmall" on the Row Crops...only issues to look for other than the normal tractor stuff is the TA if so equipped, often times if they are getting weak, it shows in the lower range while pulling something, or if bad enough the will even slip just heading up a hill when you hit the lower range, occasionally they are bad enough that the tractor won"t even move on flat ground in that range. ALSO don"t just assume (or believe) that just because they have no lever for the TA, that they came without a TA...it is fairly common practice to remove the lever when selling a tractor with a bad TA and just say "It"s not a TA tractor."
If it is a utility, make sure you check the mid section well for cracks, welds and breaks, often they had loaders, the original IH loaders mounted so that most of the stress was applied mid tractor as opposed to the rear axles. If it was a loader tractor you will want to check for excessive steering box wear on a utility, or front bolster wear on a row crop...both will manifest themselves as loose wobbly steering.
Of course a Fast Hitch ads to the value a little.
Great tractors as a rule!

Our dad removed the TA on the older tractors we had (560, 300 etc...) to keep the kids from messing with them. Since they were used primarily for cultivating and hay you really didn't need the TA. To easy for a 12 year old to engage the TA then forget while traveling down a hill and have it free wheel out of countrol (doesn't do the TA any good either).

A good running 350 with a working TA, wide front and a fast hitch is probably in the $1700 to $3000 range depending on the area. With live hydraulics and live PTO they are much more usefull than the older H they are based on.
