1594 front axle

need to widen the tread on the front of 1594 so as to not run on the hay swath. Bolts came out ok, but as I expected the axel won't slide out.Anybody got any tricks up their sleeve to get it to move. The axle tube is triangular in shape rather than round like most so you can't break it free by turning it . Too big to heat. It's currently set as narrow as it can go. Thanks

If you can't heat it you're screwed. That's the only thing that'll give you a fighting chance of getting the axle to slide.

Really, it isn't too big to heat. You just need to beg, borrow, or steal a couple of rosebud torches.
