hyd oil in super h

does it matter what hyd. oil I use in my super H. I've been using orscheln farm and home brands and everything works fine, just wanting too make sure its rite

Case/IH HY-TRAN is best. Pricey but best in long run.If you do use aftermarket oil make sure it meets the specs of HY-TRAN.

That Super H probably had non detergent 20 wt when it was new. Most any oil will work just don't put detergent motor oil in it.

If it is a belly pump you can use SAE 30, provided you are not sharing implements with another tractor. Use Hytran or equivalent if it has a live pump behind the distributer.

Use the Orscheln's 303 fluid. It will be just fine in the old Farmall, and is fully compatible with just about any other brand of tractor you might want to share impements with.

I have 303 in my 460. It is the "equivalent" or 20 wt and helps some with gear clash. Hytran is the equivalent of 10 weight.
