Farmall H Christmas Tree Valve...

I have an early Farmall H 1939. The christmas tree valve does not hardly fit under the gas tank, and there in no room to return the fluid to the top of the pump. Can I take this fluid to the drain plug. I believe the drain is only 1/2, but the valve is 1". My tank is pretty low, unlike the newer H's...

The drain is the recommended return location It prevents foaming somewhat.and is far nor convenient. The Liftall was usually plumbed with 1/2" NPT connections. I feel it is not an issue. Using a T fitting and a short nipple is a good way to still allow draining. Jim

Do you have the T on inlet to reservoir so the Christmas tree valve is off set to the side.

Yes, I have the T but the bottom of the valve is too low.
