I am trying to install this mower deck on my super C, everything seems to make sense except for the rear mounting brackets. As you can see in the pics, these appear to be bent. I can straighten them, however, wondering if this is how they supposed to be. If I straighten them, this will move the deck even farther to the right, so the deck will stick out the right side of tractor about a foot. Is this they way they were designed???

The left bracket is bent and the mower does stick to the right. Do you have the bracket that goes on the right axle housing. Yours is the good pulley assy as it drives off the belt pulley. Older ones were a huge mess huge and heavy and drove off the PTO shaft You will maybe move the right rear wheel in so the deck is wider than the tire. Yours also has right hand blades and right discharge. If you have any more problems let us know.

I had the same deck until I sold it last year. Those arms should be straight. My wheel spacing is at about 7ft wide and the right side of the mower was right in line with the outside of the tire.

Hope this helps.

I have an IH C. It had a 59 mower and it stuck out to the right. The left wheel ran over grass the mower didn't mow yet, so you had to learn to mow so the left wheel was running over already cut grass.

I found a 72 inch woods off an IH H. Put it on my C. It too was off set to the right and wouldn't fit on my small trailer, so I worked on centering the mower by making spacers to off set the idler pulleys.

Go figure, woods wanted their mowers off set to the right.

I spent last fall modifing my woods to act like a finish mover by putting metal 1 inch from the blades. This way the grass goes in a circle and over to the next blade, finally going out the side instead of the back and both sides.

I forgot to add, the bracket on the right axle needs to be braced sideways and pulled forward. If you bump the mower in to something, the bracket will move just a little, causing the belt to come loose and with in a few minutes, you will need a new belt. The belt from IH Case was very expensive, over $100. You may want to find numbers on the belt, so you can go to an aftermarket place and get one.

Guys are right, those should be straight and deck will be offset to the right. Adjust both wheels all the way in and deck will cover right wheel tracks and about 1/4 of the left wheel. Learn to mow in a clockwise direction so left wheel stays on already cut grass.

IAtractorKid,
Your pic shows a mower like my woods 72 inch with a left hand discharge and a large pulley on the PTO. I had to remove my drawbar to put it on a IH C. Also centered it on the tractor

My old Woods 59 had a right hand discharge and used the small pulley attached where a flat belt would be attached.
