I have a 1963 gas Farmall tractor and I broke a part this week and need some advice. The part I broke is what the three point hitch
connects to and pivots from under the tractor. I am not sure what it is even called, a draw bar, yoke, I just don't know. I have looked all over the Internet today and I have not found anything that looks like it. It is a one piece Y bar, and I broke it clean. Can I even buy one? If I get this one repaired will it last? If you cant tell I am not a farmer, bought some acreage for deer hunting and I use it to brush hogg. I was using a blade to move a pile of dirt when it broke.

You need the tractor model to find out the part# from the parts section of CaseIH.com. If it is what I think it is it should be available used from wengers dot com or batescorp dot com or others.

Yes, it is scary. "I need the thingy that I broke on my 1963 tractor," really doesn't go far.

Not to mention you broke a part that only gets broken if the tractor is being used too hard. So, you are probably being a little rough on your tractor, and you might want to take a look at how you're operating it and perhaps take it a little slower/easier. It's 50 years old after all...

You really need to do some homework. Find out the EXACT model number tractor you have.

That part is not likely available new anywhere, and even if it was you'd probably choke when you heard the price. That leaves you two options:

1. Find a good used part at a tractor salvage yard.
2. Take this part to a professional welding shop and have it repaired.
