Oil and filters on Super A

I am going to change the oil and filter on my 50 Super A, what oil would you recomend and oil filter? Do I need to get CIH or is there something from NAPA or local parts store. Also I knw the oil for the touchcontrol has not been changed, should I change it also or just make sure it is full, and if so can I add any hyd. oil or should I use Hytran? Thanks in advance this is a great source of infor.

NAPA or Carquest have farm filters,probably in stock.I use em for my fleet of Farmalls (FoF)

.Use 15/40 oil.Straight wt is hard to find...Drain the touch controll.10 or 20 wt oil is recomended for that.I use just a plain/generic hydralic oil from NAPA,Walmart,TSC....Good luck!

I use 15W40 and get filters from CaseIH, NAPA has or can get them, not any cheaper than CaseIH provided you have a dealer. For the hydraulics you can use anything that has Hytran specs. It does not make much difference because IH recommended 10 weight engine oil before touch control fluid (replaced by hytran) became available. That is a very unsophisticated system.
