Farmall 350 wiring diagram

I"ve got a 350 that is 12 volt. Anyone know where I can find an electrical diagram for this? I have the owners manual that came out with the tractor but that is for a generator. Thanks for any help

All 350's came with generator. First year was 6 volt then they went to 12 volts but still genertor. IH didn't start using alternators on farm tractors until late 66, last year of 806.

If it has an alternator, we need to know the model and manufacturer, so we can advise. No issue, just that the wrong info is of no value. Jim

I use the diagram in my 350D manual. I have the fctory 12V generator set up. So you should be good to go with wht you have. PK

It has an alt. The only thing I could find on it was that its made in japan. Its a Hitachi with a 2 wire plug and a stud coming out the back. I know that the stud was used put do not know what to do with the wires in the plug. I beleive the tractor is a 57. I had a guy start working on it for me and all he got done was pull all the wires off. So I have been using my manual to run wires. Have no idea what way it was before and he forgot. thanks for any input

Check out my wiring diagrams on my website charliesrepair dot com I have 25 different diagrams drawn for farm tractors that are being converted to 12 volt systems using alternators. Just click on wiring diagrams for help.

Cool info.
The plug will have two spade terminals. One will be labeled L the other S (if only one, the other is obvious. The S terminal should be connected directly to the Stud terminal. (short wire with an insulated female spade connector on the plug end, and a ring terminal on the other. the wire can be 14gauge. The L terminal goes to one of the following: a light bulb from a marker light,or dash light, a diode with the band marked end toward the alternator, or a 10 ohm 10 watt resistor. (any of these will do). The other end of your choice of the above is connected to the ignition at the key side of the resistor (if it has one) or the coil supply side if not. This component keeps the tractor from running when shut off. It is in the system as a dash idiot light and is mandatory. This wire can also be 14 gauge.
A 10ga wire goes from the big stud to the amp meter. It attaches to the side of the amp meter not connected to the starter relay. If the lights work, make sure that the amp meter moves to discharge (left) if they are turned on with the tractor shut off. If the gauge noves to the charge side, switch all wires from one side to the other. this will make it show charge and discharge correctly. Good luck, Jim
