544 governor

is a 544 governor the same as a 574 governor.

Hi JD, is the 544 gas or Diesel? I would assume it is gas since the Diesel 544 has a D-239 with the governor built into the injection pump. The gas versions both had a C-200 engine so there is a very high possibility the governor is the same. I have not figured out the new caseih parts site and how to search for engines like C-200 or D-239. The old site was to easy!!!

If,which I am not sure of, the rated load rpms are the same , governors will be same. Other wise, different size weights are used for different speeds on those and six cyl engines.
