I"m considering looking at this tractor this weekend, it"s a little rough from what the add looks like, but it has front and rear remotes, the 3 point supposedly works flawlessly, and the guy says it runs well, not smoke, good oil pressure...
The only fly in the ointment is... NO PTO..
The seller says that it"s just a matter of getting the shaft and cover to install a PTO, all the drives are already in the tranny.... Is that true?

Yes, maybe.

If it was originally made without PTO [u:828f2a317a][i:828f2a317a][b:828f2a317a]and[/b:828f2a317a][/i:828f2a317a][/u:828f2a317a] without the forward & reverse transmission it should have the correct lower transmission shaft to install a transmission driven PTO.

The IPTO attachment requires a different lower transmission shaft along with additional parts from the flywheel back.
 
If it has a forward manual reverse trans, I think the PTO will also run in reverse when applied. If it has a two stag clutch , no problem.

My parts book shows that if it has the Forward & Reverse transmission it will not have the transmission driven PTO counter shaft. If you have the Forward & Reverse transmission the only PTO option is the Independent Power Take Off.

Does the tractor have a shift lever in front of the left brake housing?

If you remove the cover where the PTO should mount you should be able to see if the lower shaft has provision for the PTO. You might have to park the tractor facing down a rather steep hill or drain the oil from the transmission to be able to do this.

The type of clutch can be seen if you remove the cover on the bottom of the clutch housing. At the rear of the clutch opening there should be a large pipe plug near the bottom of the casting. If you remove that plug you can see if there is a gear and shaft in the housing for the IPTO drive.
