Won't spark

I have a 1953 I-H TD-6 dozer, gas/diesel of course, started perfect, left it at the farm, went back in two weeks, nothing, no spark whatsoever. Replaced coil and condenser, nothing. Any ideas? Thanks.

Clean and adjust the points to .020" on the point of the dist. cam. 400 grit paper, then a folded dollar as a wipe. Jim

Coil and condenser almost never go bad but the points can get dirty from sitting closed and corrode in 24 hours if conditions are right. As Jim say clean the points and make sure the gap is correct

If magneto make sure grounding switch opens in gas positon and if battery ign, make sure it flows current through to coil in gas position.

If you have battery ignition use a volt meter to check for voltage to your coil. With your switch in the on position and the points open you should have voltage on both small terminals on your coil.
No voltage here means either your switch is bad or you're not getting voltage to your switch. Use your volt meter or test lite. Hal

I went to start my WD-6 yesterday and it usually starts very good, but not this time. What I found was that, I had to play with the push pull ignition switch. If I pulled it all the way out, I was not getting power to the coil, when pushed in just a little it made contack. I was able to see this happen by watching the ampmeter. Just another thing to put on the list that needs fixing.
