Char-Lynn cooler

I have Char-Lynn steering on my M - it is my sole loader tractor. During the winter it is great, but when I use it a lot the rest of the year that steering gets a little tight. The return line is very warm.

I am thinking about putting a 4 pass transmission cooler in the return line. Big trucks have them - I would plumb it the same way. Think it is worth it?

It cannot hurt, and keeping the fluid 30 degrees or more cooler will help. Because it is an independent system (assumed) a different hydraulic fluid might be a simpler fix. Check viscosities and go from there. Jim

What are you running for fluid? Installation instructions says to use Automatic Transmission" A".
