There is an auction coming up with this 1956 IHC Cub Low Boy and was wondering what you all think it would go for? It doesnt look like its run for a few years. The Gas in the tank has varnished over and the battery is dead. The engine does turn over though as I turned the crank over by the blade. Just curious as to what you think it will go for, at the right price I might just bring it home.

It's not a 1956 tractor. It's between a mid '58 to early '63 if the hood, grille, and dog legs are original.
I can't say how much it'll bring, but I wouldn't spend more than $500 for it. The hood has two big holes cut in it, the tie rods have been modified, and the mower has been taken. Not much there to work with unless you have another at the house with extra implements.

Lots of questions on this one. What is the air cleaner above the hood--if run much without one it'll need an overhaul. Front tires need replacing to be original, tin not all that good. $500 would be plenty, may need a complete engine overhaul and who knows what. Not running, you just don't know?

Taking into consideration the color, the modified front tie rod, the holes in the hood, I would not go over $550. I would suspect it is a state or municipality mowing rig that has been worked to death by people that did not care how they treated it.

John, that was the standard color on Lo-Boys after August 1960, until the yellow/white square nose came out.
