Is it possible to use the test port on the C touch control system to hook up a external hyd. cylinder for a remote hookup? Thanks

A special adapter is available to fit between the reservoir, and the existing piping system. That is the way to go. Jim

The adapter that Jim is talking about is sold by a guy from NY on ebay for around $50. I bought one and installed it on my super c and it works very well with the aftermarket 3 point hitch that I installed.

I allready know about the plate and the control valve for the two-point hitch.I just wanted to know if I could use the test port for a temporary project.

Will you need to use the Touch-Control at the same time? If not, you can tap into the pressure plug on the rear of the Touch-Control manifold (the test port). Use that line for input to the remote valve. Hook the return from the remote valve in place of the Touch-Control filler plug. Use an open center valve.

Then run one of your TC rockshafts to the rear. Use a chain or solid bar to block the rockshaft in that position. Then push the control lever fully forward. The remote valve will work that way.

Thanks Jim I am wanting to run a oneway cyl. on a haybine and was wanting to just use the touch control setup without adding extra stuff.

Even if you use the test port you will still need a separate spool valve to control the haybine. There is no way around it.

The hydraulic capacity of the C is very small, and should always be completely full.

When you hook on to a raised haybine and try to lower it, the hydraulic oil will have nowhere to go.

When you hook on to a lowered haybine and try to raise it, the tractor can run out of hydraulic oil and ruin the hydraulic pump.

You absolutely need an external tank for additional hydraulic capacity. Minimum 3 gallons capacity, vented, about half full so it has somewhere to catch excess oil from raised implements.

Yeah, what I said was OK for a modest sized 2-way cylinder. As soon as you get into larger or 1-way cylinders, you need more reservoir capacity. Plumb the outlet of the added reservoir into the Touch-Control filler and have the return from the remote valve dump into the reservoir.
