So I acquired a farmall 230 a couple years ago ran good no smoke good oil pressure. It came with a 2 bottom fast hitch plow which I decided to use on a couple food plots I have. the first plot was about half an acre and I was happy with the way the tractor and plow performed. on the second food plot on third pass with plow the 230 began to rev up in rpms and drop rpms irratically now it wont idle without choke being pulled out all the way and continues to rev up high and drop down low. could this just be a spring in the governor? when I hit solid ground I also noticed the oil pressure drop but when at idle it has good pressure. oil level is good.. what would cause drop in pressure when under a heavy load? thanks for any help

Your engine is starving for fuel. Check the fuel flow from the tank to the carburetor. If there's a full stream of gas from the tank remove
the tube fitting where your gas line connects. There may be a screen behind that tube fitting that has crud in it blocking your fuel to the carburetor. Hal
