460 brake lock parts

I'm tired of bending over to lock the brakes on the 460. The item (actuator?) at the lock is present, but the rod? and attachment to dash? parts are not. Is there a picture so that I can fabricate one or is there one for sale some place? Sorry I don't know the exact names of the parts. Thanks for the help. kelly

The 460 and 560 locks were just a little different if I remember correctly. We always had a 12" crescent wrench in the slot of the seat so we did not have to bend over so far because most of the time it did not work right anyways. :) The 560 I have right now has someones homemade ratcheting hand lever to hold the brakes on if you did not want to set it with the little flipper in the deck.

If you want to go cheap, on my M I put a piece of lawn mower pull start rope through the hole on the latch and tied the other end to the steering post. Works great.

Cheap is me! I looked at ebay and $50+ and $80+ seem a bit high. I think I'll try to fabricate with light rod or heavy wire, but the idea of clothesline rope oughta work too. Thanks! kelly
