ih 2500 hydrostatic hoe

found a hoe in our price range,loader and hoe works well,hydro works well when cold ,slips hesitates as it gets warmer until it wont push when hot,it had been rebuilt when seller bought some years ago.
they changed oil filters oil and it was fine for a while ,mostly used to trench,any ideas? he seems to think it could be a simple fix with someone knows
hydros.
 
there is some replyies about a 656 hydro down the page a ways you could have any of the problems listed there and yes some are an easy fix external problems and others are still easily accessable through covers on the sides with out complete dissambly. lots of things can be checked to isolate the problem. Does it have more power in reverse or forward?
 
the guy says it is ok moving around its only when you use it for heavy pushing ie backfilling /dozer work.
we are going ahead and buying it for $5000 ,only thing we can see wrong is a little slop on slew splines,which for age is to be expected.tyres are great no cracks,only thing wont get it home for a few weeks because of road bans.
will post again after we try it out.
