300U Hydra Touch valves

I have a manual for the tractor now and see the options available for Hydra Touch valves. The manual lists a single, double, and triple valve system. My question is this: Were these modular units of some type that IH made or is it possible to take 3 individual valves and make a triple system? Now, heading off the obvious, I know this is all just plumbing and, if I want to get clever, I can probably figure out a way to put three singles together. The question is, was that how it was done or were there modular units (of two or three valves) factory made to accomplish this? Hope that makes sense. Thanks!

Only seen multiple valves stacked, It will not be a plumbing issue unless you add power steering and then I don"t believe you can have more than 3 remotes and 1 of the 3 would be the fast hitch. And of course there is always aftermarket where you can add as many as you want. With no power steering you have room for 4 remotes

I have added the 3rd valve to a 400 & 450-D by just removing the cover from the 2nd and bolting on the 3rd. You do need the longer bolts from a 3-valve tractor. On my 300U, I do have 3-valves. The back valve runs the fast-hitch and also has the regulator and flow-divider for the PS. The front two valves are for the loader. But it seems to me you could add a 3rd valve two the front two just like is done on the row crop tractors. You may need to move the fender to get clearance and you would need a valve handle from a utility tractor and the longer bolts. Anybody know why this wouldn't work? Just a thought. Al

Dave, The valves are all single on both row-crop and utility tractors. On the row-crop, I believe the 1st valve is slightly different but the 2nd & 3rd are exactly the same since they have same part number. I have added a 3rd valve to serveral row-crop tractors. See my other post as a possibly way to add a 4th to a 300U. Al

With the utility model you will have one valve after a block toward the rear of the reservoir and two stacked in front of it. This single valve would be for the fasthitch. There is no plumbing to be done between the reservoir and the valves. My tractor is not close or I would post a picture of how the single valve is set.

hi I think that would work, if you could lift it in place to start the bolts! Two is a handfull.Check clearance to fender. Might want to get your nipples in first, or at least one bottom, one top, and one back.

Dave, I think when I added the 3rd valve to my 450-D, I used two rods to hold the 3 valves up. Then I moved them around slightly to get the 1st two long bolts started. Then pulled out the rods and put the last two bolts in. Al
