Is there a trick to getting the front pivot bushing out on a late SM w/batt. Under the seat? I can get one bolt out but the other side just turns. Thanks DTK

If you're replaceing the old bushing with a new one..Just take a hacksaw and cut tue head off the bolt.BTDT

If you want to save the threaded part of the seat pivot. Once in a while you can get lucky by lubing the bolt removed, then screw it in and out a few times so it turns free. Then tighten it as much as it will stand without striping or breaking. Then try to get the other side turning.
Helps a lot if a impact wrench is used.
Or like the other poster said cut the bolt head of. you can then spread the seat frame ears enough to remove. That leaves some bolt left to weld a nut on and clamp the metal connector to get the bolt out if wanting to save it. Some are deteriorated enough to be not worth saving.
