Corn picker on M

I have a 2mh picker mounted on an M. The book says to put steering stops in to prevent wheel from hitting the front snoot. I do not have the front snoot on yet. Do you have to have these in and if so how do they go on and where can I find some? Thanks

You don't have to use them, if it has bigger tires would be a problem in full turn left or right, M sets the front wheels of tractor back because of no extra length like all others with TA such as SM-TA 400 560. The ideal set-up is a single front wheel. I used to set-up these new back in my younger days.

ah hah, so that would explain why the front tires are both tore up on the outsides on mine. I knew it ran a mounted picker for most of it s life.

I can't believe IH designed a picker that way... we had a JD 226 on an A and 2- 227 pickers on 2 JD 60s and there was no problem turning stop to stop. Was there really no clearance on the 2 MH? How about the 2M that was made at the same tome as the M, or the 2ME with the snout that turned with the front wheels?
