Creating a F-20 Duckbill with assorted bolsters

I want to make a F-20 duckbill front-end for the tractor I'm restoring. I have located a F-30 duckbill front-end.
I've checked out and compared both a F-20 and F-30 duckbill front end, and the part numbers of the top-half of the "bill" and the lower half of the "bill" are the same.
So what my question is, can I take the 2 halves of the "bill" and gears off the F-30 front end and put them on a F-20 steering shaft and bolster, hence creating a F-20 duckbill front-end.

This may be a confusing question, but thanks for any help. I believe its possible....

Evan, You can coble up anything you want! But it will never be original! For collection you need correct serial # to be correct duck bill.
other wise it is just another home made tractor.
Some I have seen are nicely done. Kinda like a SHTA. oldiron29

I think I understand what you are trying to say.

Yes, it is true that both the F30 and F20 'duckbill' steering gear assemblies are the same. But they will only bolt to the bolster made for the 'duckbill' steering. The 'duckbill' steering gear assembly will NOT bolt to the bolster used with the worm gear steering gears.

I agree with Oldiron29, unless your F20 falls within the correct serial number range to be an original 'duckbill' adding the duckbill steering is not going to make it collectable or more valuable, it will just be a F20 with incorrect steering. That said, if you just want to add the 'duckbill' steering because you think it is cool, then that is totally fine. Just don't try to pass it off as a genuine "duckbill" F20.

Oh, Yeah, NO. I reread your post. At first I thought you had an F20 duckbill bolster and were missing the castings or gears. But it appears you have neither. No. You can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear. The parts won't fit.

they do have a unique look to them, but I have heard from a couple oldtimers that the duckbill and regular steering setups were armbreakers if you hit a furrow and weren't paying attention. the worm gear ones can jerk pretty hard themselves. why not get an F-30 and put the duckbill on since you already have a duckbill 20?
