Have a chance to buy my dads baler back from a fellow we sold it to about 3 years ago no thrower, excellent shape gave a $1000 for it wants that now or he will put it on Craigs list where he thinks he can get more, very good guy have none him for years just trying to justify buying not going to use it anymore just to have and park in the corner of the shed what would you do, thanks.

It all comes down as to whether you had rather have the baler or the money. Money is more important to some, things are more important to others. Personaly, I prefer things. Joe

Give it a lot of thought as these opportunities don't come along very often. I certainly wish I could find some of the early IH tractors and equipment my grandfather had that I grew up with. These items can be priceless as you have MasterCard for other needs, Hal.

If you are not going to miss the 1000 dollars then buy the baler. People have called me crazy but I get as much satisfaction owning the implements as the tractors. Especially since implements can be bought a whole lot cheaper on average. This stuff is getting more rare all the time and it is not about whether something else was better back in the day but preserving memories. Some of dad's stuff is flat out gone but if I could find some of the same models whether they were inferior or not will bring back rather pleasant memories from days long past.
