While I have lift all out, attempting to change seal without splitting tractor. Have spider out and bolt out of coupling. Any one have any tips on removing coupling? will it come out with clutch shaft in place? Thanks for any tips.

No. Or maybe. If you loosen the pressure plate bolts, and then collapse the pressure plate, you might be able to move the clutch shaft enough to get it out of the way.

If you have the ability to split it is a heck of a lot easier and probably faster. I split and replaced mine last fall. You also can a get a good look at your clutch/pilot/release bearing at the same time.

Release the pressure on the plate with release bolts (taken from the PP mount bolt holes evenly around the plate. Then remove the PP and disk . Jim

It isn't bad coming apart but it took every bit of patience I could find to get it back together. Get the clutch release shaft out through the side of the bell housing, the bolts out of the aluminum t.o. bearing carrier, every other bolt out of the press. plate and install in the plate cover to collapse the 3 fingers. Now the shaft will come out, you can get the disc out too if you want but the pressure plate won't come out the bottom.
Back up a couple lines and remove the last 3 press. plate bolts.

The more I look at this i agree it will be easier to split it. Other than removing the spider, I have not much time involved, as I had removed lift all which was really leaking and did counter shaft seal at same time.
