3388 park brake system

I have a 3388 that had a park brake linkage come apart and not release the park brake, didnt know it and tried to take off and brake was making grinding noise. repaired linkage and drove down the road and now have a tick when driving at faster speeds. I want to look internally at the gears and park brake system to verify if a tooth came off or where this noise is coming from, want to know if there is an easy access to see internal or not? thanks ahead a time!

It"s not actually a brake, it"s a "park" like in a car. It engages one of the reverse gears, so start there. Unless it changed after the 66 series.

On the 2 plus 2 you have to take off the front wheel drive gear box on left side of range transmission to get a look at the gears inside.

If you have a digital tach you may be able to remove the speed transducer and look down through the hole. It senses speed off the reverse gear.

A more sophisticated method would be to connect a scope to the speed transducer and see if there was a break in the wave pattern as the tractor was driven.
