1206 Questions

Finally got Farmall 1206 serial 10183 SY this week after looking for about 5 years and have a few questions? It needs to have the front end replaced because of loader wear, lots of welding and extra weld bracing. I have a very nice tight front axle complete off 656 Hydro. Both have the six bolt hubs so will they match up? Also I need both engine skirt panels amd Farmall emblems and new 1206 badges. Are these metal or vinyl for this year? I think this is a 1966 model correct. I will also need the dash instrument clusters as these are not working at all and very sun washed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Howard
 
I have a 66and 67 they have the metal 1206 emblems there are after market ones, The wide front will swap over,I think on the side panels that will be a trip to the salvage yards,Guages are another after market item.
 
Here is a tip on side panels, 1206 panels maybe very hard to find. But side panels from most others, 806,706,1256,etc. all have the same taper. But maybe longer or shorter, just find a set that is long enough and shorten.
 
The 65 model had the decal after that they had badge.The 1206 had a larger shroud around the fan so the side panels are different.I have seen a few 1206s with 6 bolt hubs but most have 8 bolt hubs with 10/16 tires and dished rims.They have one of the sharpest paint scheme and I am not sure why so many are repainted wrong.
