Leak

IH Farmall SMTA. On the belly of this tractor is a "bracket" that I think is for cultivators to fasten to. I have 90wt leaking from around this bracket. Is this a hard fix? I figure I have to elevate the front end, but what else is involved? Are parts going to fall out or is it just a gasket. It doesn't look like there should even be a gasket. Thanks, Ellis

No, there is no gasket. That area should be dry. And empty. If parts fall out you have other problems.

After further inspection, it is the plate that also contains the disconnect for the live power. Ellis.

Yes it has a gasket and a o-ring or seal on the lever for pto disconnect. You need to drain that plug right behind plate at the very least. If tractor has a TA it should not be using gear lube, rather hy-tran to properly lubricate the TA over running clutch.
