1963 560D TA

I have an issue with the TA on my 63' 560D and am wondering if it's
going to be an easy fix or difficult fix. The TA would only engage
going from high to low when the tractor was under load say in
tillage work, not bailing work. The TA did not want to stay engaged
in low, it wanted to creep back up into high even with the lever still
pulled back. The TA never slipped, it was strong high or low. Now
the TA is stuck in low no matter if the lever position. Does anybody
have an idea how to fix this? Your help is appreciated.

It was out of adjustment while it was doing the self shifting thing you described. The TA direct clutch (front small standard single disk clutch in the TA system) has burned out from slipping. It might be able to be adjusted (not likely) but worth trying. A split will be needed to replace the TA front clutch and Pressure plate and bearing. Jim
