Operator's manual and parts book for 2000 loader do not show mounting brackets for the M tractor. However, the 2001 loader does show brackets for H,M, 300, 350, 400, 450 tractors. The sub-frame for both loaders are identical, the lift arms and buckets are different. Loader from a 656 has different brackets than what is needed for the M. With design, engineering and welding skills ,a person could modify or build something to make it fit.

If it was on a FARMALL 656, the modifications required should be minor.

I have a 2000 on a Super M. Some modification of the front mounting brackets will be required, to align the hole pattern to the tapped holes on the side rails. My setup works as a decent loader tractor and I can even take the loader off or re-install in under 1/2 hour if the need arises.

There's an M with a 2000 loader on my local C-List.

Any tractor with a torque will be about 9 inches longer than an old M or an H. You would need to shorten the frame work of the loader accordingly.
