there were 2 different pumps on the 9's. from serial number 501-31732 they used pump 1521676 (355 008 r91) serial number 31733 up uses pump number 1539555 (28 659 HA) the early pump, the pull rod was separate from the diaphragm, the later pump the pullo rod was integral. i think the you-know-who that sells the rebuild kit has them for the later pumps. call em first before ordering. the early pump has kind of a hex plug on the top of the integral sediment bowl, the later pump does not have the plug.

According to the parts book the before serial number changes to the before serial number. It looks like the A.C.Spark Plug CO was manufacture for IH at the time. They used 56692D push rod on both pumps. I wished I had my latest parts interchange book.
